There are four special events in a year, and BI-weekly program called “Living Room”.

• Spring Basket Delivery
  Around Easter time, we have The Spring Basket Delivery, which consists of donated canned goods, fresh vegetables and fruits, candy and goodies for adults and children. We have wonderful volunteers who dedicated time to assemble and delivery the spring baskets.
• Summer Picnic
  Our annual summer picnic is a wonderful laid back time where clients and their family can enjoy a day of Bar B Que., food, entertainment, arts & crafts, music, games and a raffle prizes all for free. Majority of the food and entertainment is donated from vendors from community. Staff and dedicated volunteers give a hand at this event.
  
• Thanksgiving Basket Deliveries
  In the fall we have our annual Thanksgiving Basket Delivers, which includes a complete thanksgiving dinner for over 100 of our clients and their families. Each basket consists of donated turkey, canned good, dessert, and holiday goodies for the children.
  We ask volunteers to help assemble and deliver the thanksgiving baskets to our clients.
  
  Holiday Party
  Our annual holiday party is an evening where our clients, their families and staff can eat, dance, and socialize together. We supply over 300 toys for our client’s children. We solicit donation for toys from a various vendors and donors. We also provide each adult client and their significant others with gifts. Volunteers and staff donate time to help at this event.¨

• Living Room
  The Living Room is a BI-weekly program held ever 2nd an 4th Tuesday of the month. The program is offered free to all Staten Islanders who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. We have various presenters from the community come to the Living Room and do presentation on healthy living and after each presentation we serve healthy meal.

• We invite presenters from:
  Pharmaceutical Companies to talk about New Treatment, new clinical trails and the latest medication.
  We have an annual Holistic Health Fair where clients can experience holistic modalities, such as Reiki, acupuncture, therapeutic touch, and massage therapy.
  We have local community entertainers, such comedians, storytellers, laughter meditation, and poetry.
  We also provide an area for participants children
  The children area offers homework assistance, arts and crafts, and gym activities.

1. Social events:
   We host special events throughout the year to help community members come together and increase the community’s visibility in the borough. These events include a Gay Pride Social in June and a picnic in October to celebrate National Coming Out Day. This past year we also sponsored 2 LGBT Dinner Dances. For LGBT Youth we provide a Gay Pride Dance, as well as quarterly LGBT Poetry Jams. Upcoming community events are listed on our LGBT Calendar of Events page.
   
   Join us for coffee and conversation at the LGBT Monthly Social. Meet old and new friends. Get to know other members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender community on Staten Island every first Thursday of the month at 8:00PM. The social is held in the Muddy Cup, at 388 Van Duzer Street. All are welcome.
   
   Come and enjoy a film and snacks with other members of the LGBT community. Every third Wednesday of the month is LGBT Movie Night at 380 Van Duzer Street (7:30 PM).
