Congregate Meals: The Living Room is a bi-weekly feeding program held every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. The program is offered free to all Staten Islanders who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. We have various presenters from the community come to the Living Room and present on healthy living. After each presentation we serve a healthy meal. Meals contain one-third of the current recommended dietary allowance.
The Living Room is not just for adults, but for children as well. While the parents enjoy a relaxing evening, Volunteers take care of their children. Any child can enjoy the children’s area. Children can participate with Arts &Crafts, and/or play basketball and volleyball. Around 7:30pm the children will then join their parents for a healthy meals.
