These community profiles are developed by the Brooklyn AIDS Task Force and are prepared to provide community-based organizations with need statements for successfully funded proposals, and to provide a "snapshot" of the AIDS epidemic on Staten Island. The profiles include data from the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's AIDS Surveillance Unit on the incidence of AIDS, demographics, and service needs.
